It’s 52 and rainy here. The house was at 68 but felt much colder. I decided to light the red maple that was ready to go in advance. My stove room is feeling a lot more cheery now

51*high today. Squalls of heavy rain, hail and wind blowing through with sunshine in between. Wife cannot give the stove up. Burning Doug Fir splits. We have to let the fire almost die out then restart with a few sticks of kindling and small splits. If we don't it gets too hot!

Temp dropped to 28 and now back to 30. Feels like winter again and spitting snow every so often.

I had to take a break from building on the entry because I got too warm in the sun.
Slow progress when I have to shovel 2 feet of snow and ice from where I THINK I put something in September. Digging out 16 foot 2x6s is actually a lot of work.
It's about 65° in the sun.
    Clear blue skies !

A raw 48 and very windy. I’ll be waking up to the mid 30s tomorrow, and every day thereafter until Sunday :hair: Red/silver maple rolling the flames in the Lopi.

Got down to the mid 30s and I built an overnight fire. Fks. IMG_20220427_182127188.jpg
Got something accomplished on the Arctic Entry roof by quitting time today. Tomorrow I'll put the 1by flooring metal nailer ( purlin) boards on . Then I need to do something else till the snow and ice release my roofing metal where it's buried. Then wait a bunch more for The Drift to melt so I can do the insulated metal panel siding.
