    23°F ambient temperature outside.
The high today was in the 40s for a few, several hours . And the sun came out strong after noon.
    Winds are calm currently
Raced the coals forward and put 4, 2" -4 " rounds of fkbs and fkws. Let it catch good and closed it down again . Temp had gotten down to 71 in the house.

35/68 Filled up with Ash and Elm. After a few days of very windy weather it appears to have calmed down. Nice.

We're having one hell of a shoulder season here. Stop burning for a few days....start back up again. Looks like I have a couple days of burning ahead then shut it back down again on Sunday.

Currently 48, no fire. The rains just won't give. My yard is swamp. Weather hacks changed their minds. Mid 70's next week and lows in the mid 50's. Definitely an extended shoulder season.

28 F with partial sun and random flurries of snow blowing over the continental divide. It was 16 degrees when I got up today. Still feels like winter here. 72 F in the house. Burning Lodgepole Pine and Aspen.

50 and light rain. Burning well seasoned White Pine and White Spruce. Basically to batch burning now. I told my wife I am going to burn firewood as long as I can stand it this year. Even when no heat demand at all. Just to heat our domestic hot water for every need. If I have to use a fan to take the heat out of the boiler room and send it outside I can do that. Price of oil is just too high. Fortunately I have plenty of seasoned firewood. Last few winters have been mild temperatures overall. Leftovers each year.

Apparently there’s a heat wave on the way next week.

Snowed, sleeted & rained here today. Must been in the low 40’s - upper 30’s with wind gusts to 40+mph, more of the same tomorrow.
Burning mostly Lindenwood with a chuck of Osage thrown in for overnights.

39F and drizzle. Pretty much the spring forecast here. A whopping 18% of available sunshine for April and end of March so far. Way above on rainfall and mud everywhere. Next week forecast to be 60's and rain. Loading Pine and Poplar in the boiler everyday to keep it warm. Completely useless weather.

Was up in the mid 40s here today.
I have to be down off the hill before the road gets too soft. And I got a late start today so only had time for 1 cord .
Was a nice sunny day. With no wind blowing , I was dressed too warm.
    Currently 20°F ambient temperature here.
    Winds calm
    Moon is pretty.
    Stove was completely out .
Started it with a round of fire killed black spruce I split up. Then added two small rounds of fkws and a round of fkbs. Let it get going good and closed it down. Supposed to get down to 10° but will probably be in the singles by morning.
It's amazing how many buildings got smashed by the snow and ice this winter here.
