33 overnight, second night we didnt have a fire all night.
Pulling wood from various piles, a little shoulder season wood (haven't put up much generally), we've cleaned out the shorts and uglies. We burned 5.5c, but need 6. Had 6 put up, but part of a cord was wet due to holes in thinner plastic. Hopefully not too many cold mornings left, what we have will last for raw damp days another few weeks.
Will be pushing harder on shoulder season wood when I find some.

35/71 with Oak idling along nicely.
My egg bake in the other heating appliance..... Not as perfect. I scorched the chili cheese topping a bit:eek: It's the thought that counts right? Still smells great and should be fine! Doubt the wife will complain.

23/65 here. "Significant snow amounts" on the way. Figures....I tool the plow off the truck on Sunday to take a ride into the woods before a road melted out. :headbang:

With the fire out most of the night, I built a good one this morning, and cooked breakfast on it. Took the chill off, will let it go out for the day.

    0°F ambient temperature @ 7:30 this morning.
    Winds calm.
Hazy from the nano particulate toxic heavy metals the jets ( US Air Force ) have coated the sky with.
It was so nice that we had several days with no jets up there. Actually had beautiful deep blue skys. Now it's this grey hazy $#!+.
    Fkws in the stove.
    Coffee taste's good.
Got some home projects to do today so I'm not going to the woods.
My right elbow is sore again this morning from yesterday's load of wood. But much better than last Tuesday.

45/64. It was time to renew the heat! Before the wife gets home. Raining, windy, generally not nice out!

    50/73 chestnut oak.
Got home 4:30 to a 65 degree house. Lit up about 5p and within about 3 hours I've raised temp to 73.

How much? Don't send any of that chit this way, starting Wednesday night through Thursday night we have an inch of rain forecast for our area. If Tupper Lake NY still has snow in the woods, some houses and camps on the Gulf Road in Colton NY could be in for some wet basements.

How's 99 doing? All this snow must have her very happy you bought that new shovel for her.

So , it warmed up a lot today . Wind came up out of the south west. It was still +32 ° F ambient temperature an hour ago. This is kind of a dehydrating wind. As long as the road is froze in the morning. I'll be good to go. That's the problem with handling wood by hand . A person's hands have to be up to the task.
    Winds to 30 knots
Going to put a little bit of fkws and fkbs in the stove. And hope it keeps smudging along .

47/74 oak. Rain the next couple days will just lengthen the mud season. :(

Forecast shows 8". Last week, forecast showed 15" but only got half of that, so half of this weeks forecast is do-able too!

99's new shovel must have gotten "misplaced" in the big move last summer.

Since we have a chit load of rain coming in, I spent time up on the ladder cleaning out some of our gutters and replacing some of the screws that hold the gutter hangers.
