Where you are, probably tractor weights are common. I don't remember ever seeing any around here.
I have about a 1/4 mile straight stretch that is a real pain. Without something much heavier duty than a pickup . It ain't happening.

    +6°F.
As calm as I ve ever seen it here.
Lots of stars out and the Aurora Borialis is putting on a nice show.
It got up to 20 above today and for some reason a whole bunch of moose in the whole area were acting odd. Friends getting charged and having to jump inside houses and pickups. One of the moose that lives here was bound and determined to walk past the house on the hard pack. I fired a shot in the air to snap him out of it . Which bought me 5 minutes to get the dogs inside from their chains. Then the young bull walked thru the yard. 114 lbs was cooking dinner and kinda screech what's that moose doing. I stood up and looked and the bull bent down a bit and looked at me thru the window. The door yard is drifted in about 3' deep. It kept walking and went up on The Drift. IMG_20220222_172721550.jpg
Dogs were acting odd all day. Cat was even acting different.
Fkw + Fkb spruce in the stove.

In lieu of heavy equipment. IMG_20220222_123532386.jpg
It worked . Got a bunch of snow ice busted up and plowed it out of the way .
But this is our driveway , not our road.
I'm too old to bust up 1/4 mile of this stuff.

34 here and dropping pretty quickly. Still heating on last night’s load of Maple, Beech, and Ash. When I went to bed I think it was about 42ish. Going down to single digits by midnight or so. The winter storm warning for Thursday night to Friday night has now changed from 4-10” to 6-12”. Dat not gooder. The way it is moving though, I’ll take the 6” and those in Vermont like Canadian border VT and Stinny can have the 12”. How’s that for youins?:wacky:

Warm, rain off and on. Temps dropping through the day. Tomorrow colder, calling for freezing rain at night into friday morning.
Did start a fire of cherry and pine to take the damp feeling out of house

I have a couple of the flex-zilla air hoses, one on the air compressor in the shed & one in the semi. They are lime green, I have had no issues with mine down to -20*

We had several different types/brands of air hoses at the shop in Westby & over to Lignite, ND, none of them liked those cold temps. The boss would not buy a flex-zilla though.

17/72 now. No idea what it was this morning.

Ended up with right around 20" of snow for the two day event. Sure am glad I punched a hole through the driveway yesterday as it made some of the plowing a heck of a lot easier this morning.

Touched things up with the snowblower after plowing.

High of 32°f today. Snow on and off with wind but only 6 inches total. Sun finally poked through, so I took a pic. IMG_20220223_160652708_HDR[1].jpg

Just loaded the Wood Gun with Beech, Maple, and Ash for the overnight. Time for some
