2F here just before sunrise. High of 22 predicted. Nice morning. Beech and Oak still holding up from last night. Gotta do a little trailer repair for my son today. Looking forward to seeing him. It's been a couple weeks.
I didn't know that was still sold. It was the coffee I started drinking as my mother always shopped at the A & P market. I did like going with her because she ground hers and near the mill it just smelled good.
Yes still around. I drink Folgers a lot but like some eight o'clock for a treat in the evening or weekend. I remember well the smell of the grinder and one market still has one here. Also remember shopping with Mom at the A&P and they would give S&H green stamps to save.
It was 2° out at around 7:30 this am. It's 3° now. Ash, and a stick of honey locust in the quadrafire. 72° in the stove room. The furnace has run this am, but that's to be expected and a sign that all is well. We got a light dusting of snow overnight, enough to make the roof white.
9 this morning currently 15 just finished cleaning up the snow we got over the last two days. Steady 70 inside with ash and sugar maple.
The temp bottomed out at 0, I ran the pellet stove in the basement overnight with the temp up here holding at 71 and the bedroom at 68. They say our low temps will hit - 13 tomorrow morning, the pellet stove with the wood stove tonight.
16/73 Sun has been pouring through the windows for several hours so I let the coals burn down in preparation for another subzero night. This is the last one in the 10 day forecast.
19 right now, dropping to 9 by morning. Looks like it’ll be the last of the cold weather for a while here. I’ve got a mix of black locust and beech going at the moment.
18F here, but getting windy. Looking like mid teens for a low. Had some nice sun today. More Oak and Beech in the stove and boiler.
