20 out and maple carried us through the day. I blew 4 drives this morning before heading out. Several body shops not even open today but still a very busy day. Rolled in after 6 and loaded ash, maple and sycamore. Down to 5 tonight. 71 in and the wife stayed home today as she hates driving in the snow and she knew there would not be many people coming today with the weather. I'll be busier than a one armed paper hanger next week but that's the way it is. For now I am enjoying my evening cup a joe.
Temps were close to 50F the past two days so I let the wood furnace go out. Decided to run the soot eater and clean the heat exchanger after work today. Pipe and exchanger were looking great. Firing the beast back up with some pine scraps and kindling. Currently 35F and raining. Going down to 27F overnight.
10.8°F this morning and I guess it got into the forties but with the wind it didn't feel like it. A mix of alligator juniper and southwestern choke cherry heating it up!
9 here so far. Pine and some Elm burning. Going down to -3 or so by morning rise. I thought we got about 10-12” here. My neighbor down the road says no. 7 maybe 8. He plows for customers and measures. Maybe the breeze I was making was causing some drifting?
Around 0°F ambient here winds from the east at 15 mph It would be quite comfortable without the wind. A split of seasoned white spruce and a couple rounds of fire killed white Spruce loaded in the stove for the overnight shift.
9 this morning. Both dogs were lifting their paws because of the cold when I let them out. Stove is full of ash.
3 degrees here currently. Quick heat in the Wood Gun now with mostly White Pine and White Spruce. One split of Beech for some extra BTUs.
10 here and have a mixed load, ash, maple, cherry, & elm going. 70 in and 20 for the high today outside. Boy does the eight o'clock coffee taste good this morning.
Susposed to get up to 50f today and good day to do some wooding but need to help parents painting one of their duplexes.
