Welcome Wayne Nice to have you here!!! Ahhhhh, Halifax! I'll have to PM you and have a chat. I have family up there and when I was active duty USCG, our ship was up there a couple times! Love it there!
33 and 72. Red oak burning. Up to 45 today with rain changing to snow. 10-20+ is the prediction. I hope they are right!
7º this morning. Every morning its been colder than they predicted. It was supposed to be 11º. Had them stove loaded with oak last night.
It’s not good for someone that has sinus problems. I’d be a hermit if I had to deal with your weather. Mike in Okla
Ha, I gotta play tour guide to some of the Gilmore cars at the international auto show in Grand Rapids.
Had 19 when I woke, 73 inside. Loaded up with mulberry. Man does this stuff ever put out spark showers!
Yes it does. It's our sole heat source. It can go thru the wood fairly fast so it needs tending often when it gets like it is currently. Especially considering the species of woods we have here. It would be interesting to see how long it would last at 40-50 below with seasoned red oak or something similar in it.
Where have you been Wayne ???? You never called, you never wrote....your Mother and I were worried sick!
39 now, headed for 53 today and rain overnight. Boiler is still working on yesterday's load of ash, maple, and cherry.
It sure does, my boys enjoy the sparks and popping. My stacks are empty of it at the moment. Always looking for some.
Warm night here at 30 degrees. Looks like we’re finally getting a break for the next couple days with daytime highs around 40. Got some apple, beech and black birch in the stove this evening.
42/75 have not put anything in the stove since morning. I'll load some ash and maple about 9:30. Going back to work tomorrow after I get my stiches out but by the looks of the weather may be staying in on Thur.
