Rotti, we have single digits below zero last night (as we speak, the wind chill is -20f) and again tonight (wed), so I think it might be on the way to your place. Thu will be low teens and then fri starts a few days just above the freezing mark. That'll make some of the snow settle!

Right at 20ºF this morning. Pine burning in the boiler.

 

17f here this a.m., with Maple in the stove overnight....no DV.
Almost 66 in the living room.
Lots of coals, so I put in another 4 small-med. Maple splits, and those should last for a bit and warm the house back up.
Of course, the forecast changed quite a bit overnight, and the warmer temps for next week got moved back a few days. It'll still be warmer, but a lot of the sunshine is gone from the forecast.
The DV will get used tonight.
We got just a bit under 3" of the 3-6" of snow forecast for yesterday.

19 here now supposed to be down around 4 tonight. Burnin some ash and walnut in the boiler tonight.

 

Super excited to see 40's in the near future. I'm not a fan of the muddy mess that is ahead but it's something I'll deal with.

 

3 f this a.m. Stove had a large coal bed. Once that burns down we'll give er' a feed of beech for the day. Everybody stay warm.

 

Woke up to 36F and heavy rain with temps slowly dropping. Supposed to get 1-18" today . Got a load of oak and pallet cut offs in the volcano and some softwoods in the hastings. Enjoying my coffee then off to work to watch the snow accumulate enough so we can start plowing.

 

Sounds like a diet of "HEAVY PUSHIN" is on the way.............

I woke up this morning to a heavy rainstorm and temps around 37 degrees, yesterday was sunny with a high of 79. Starting to light a fire as we speak. Crazy Texas weather.

 

5 below burning ash elm. Looks like the last blast of cold for the for seen future. 50s by the weekend. Welcome mud season..

19 now high today 39. Lodgepole in the stove.

 

Forecast was -6 last night, but it was -15 out the kitchen window at 6 a.m.

Still working the Maple. Warmup starting Saturday.........maybe, so the wood use will drop during the day at least.

 

30 degrees this morning with a big drop coming tonight. 0 tomorrow. Stove's out. Good time to get the ash cleared.

Well, at least he didn't say it would be 1"-3'.
I'd say he's got it narrowed down pretty gooder.
