Thank you Larry, kiddo did not have school today so we finally got it on, I manipulated the reservoir to square while she worked the lid and we got it on!! It's been on 2 for ~ 7 hours now and we're at 18% analog but still 16% on the digital hygrometers (16 is as low as they go). I think my house might be soaking up all the moisture. Good idea on the packing tape, I will NOT remove the lid again til it needs maintenance. Hours dinking around with the fragile plastic. Idk, still waiting on a call back from customer service, should not be necessary for these acrobats to change the filter or put it away for summer. The reservoir is legit warped straight out of the undamaged box.
Agree, I'm waiting for a call back, it was not right straight out of the box. Other odd thing is the "fill line" sticker is crooked, who knows what happened. At minimum a new reservoir. BTW your dog is SO DARN CUTE!
25F/70F with a few hrs to go before restuffing Sooo enjoying this mild balmy weather. 35F for a high today! Nice. I'll be outdoors again today getting things done while it's warm. 5F for a high tomorrow with dropping temps to -18F Thur. evening. Not so nice The new winter/yoyo! Is what it is....... Stay warm all.
16/74 Temps dropping all day ending up below zero with lots of wind. Got about 8 inches of snow yesterday.
Got a couple of inches of snow on the deck yesterday. A buddy and I cut down a 42" white oak that had died this summer. We got nearly 3 dump trailer loads off of the limbs alone. It's 24 degrees here now burning red oak splits it's 69 inside. The boiler is full of honey locust.
12 F. Some wind. Maple, Beech, and Yellow Birch in the Wood Gun. Never did measure the snow but we must have at least 14-15” of new snow.
Single digit wind chills all night. Burned red and chestnut oak to keep us warm. Woke to 31 ambient and calmer winds.
Get in the habit of opening the draft all the way just a tad before you are down to all coals. That should take care of the problem but if it is cold in the house, go ahead and scoop some out; I just would not do that as a regular practice.
Currently 25 but we're supposed to get well into the 40's and sunny today. That's going to be enough to melt off what little bit of snow we have and really get the mud going. Just loaded the boiler with some soft maple, ash, and a big chunk of cherry.
26 out right now going to low 30s today, then tomorrow the high is 3... Friday morning calling for -21 with -30 windchills. OWB is still running on last night's load of red oak.
Snowing for a e of hours already. Winds to pick up and then temps drop to single digits for tonight....then below zero for a couple of days.
Gonna have to fire up the plow. A heavier wind driven (not wet) 4" waiting for attention out there so far.
43 and it’s looking like our snow cover may last awhile with more snow in the Friday forecast. Proof that we are in the upside down times.
