39f/4c here. Still doesn’t feel properly cold yet — temperatures expected to go up to 57f by the end of the week. Burning some pine.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas.

35F and 70F. Pulled the connector pipe today and cleaned the venting system as well as the stove. Having the wife available to help was nice.

We are having high winds again with rain/sleet. Nasty out. The wife and I just finished sawing/cleaning the yard up from the last big blow.... This afternoon:hair: Sure sounds like we will have plenty to clean up again. As long as the house/garage arent smashed I'm happy!

Believe I'll toss in a load of Oak and head for bed!
    Go Washington football! Impressive:picard:

Today was a challenging day. Woke up to 14° and horizontal sleet . Which continued till around 1:30. It doubled the ambient and turned to rain. As the wind died down. Around 1 pm ish. A big part of the roof of our 1 and only civilian grocery store in Delta Jct. Collapsed.
We had gotten 6 to 8 " of snow overnight. So after being plugged in for an hour ish I started up the plow truck and started plowing. Then the water in fuel light came on again on the dash.
This time I couldn't get the truck to stay running after draining the filter. So I worked on that for a few hours. Never did get it running again. I think the fuel filter is plugged. I put that project to bed for the day . Then dug out the wood for the next 24 hrs. Bucked it up and sledded it to the house.
I had been getting nervous about the snow load on our camper trailer . About 30" and now with a freezing 1" crust on top. Made my way to the tree I had hung up the roof rake in. Thru crotch deep snow with this crust on it. Spent about 45 minutes getting most of the snow off the roof.
Came in for dinner and called it a day.
At about 8 pm a neighbor texted me that he had heard the roof of the shop where my wife works had collapsed.
No one hurt. And she was home all day so Thank God for that.
At midnight it was +24°F and calm.
    Burning an Aspen/ Birch mix.
Tomorrow I may take the Arctic Cat 550 Panther to town . But will probably wait for a day.

21* (low of 19*) and 3"-4" of snow from yesterday and last night. Cold for here! Partly cloudy/sunny and calm. House got down to 56* last night as I had two windows cracked open and don't burn overnight. 2 Large splits of Doug Fir and a few smaller splits of Oak in the stove. Secondaries are dancing. The farthest reach of the house is up to 66* so far and the downstairs is toasty warm! Had a nice breakfast and am getting ready for a trip to Lowe's for bird seed.

Cold Trigger Finger that sounds like a rough and frustrating day all around! Glad to hear everyone was safe. Weve had lots of snow here in the Rockies over the last few days. My son and I had to go dig the roof off our 10x10 tin shed yesterday as it was showing signs of weight stress. It only had a few feet of snow on it but those things arent the sturdiest. Some of that weight was from weeks of snow compacting throughout storms so it was pretty dense on the bottom. I keep meaning to put up a few supports down the middle of it. Guess I should get on that. -31c/-24f this morning but has warmed up to -22c/-7f right now. We have a mix of doug fir and larch in the PE. No snow today thankfully!
