Finally a stretch a cold temps the past few days and began burning 24/7. Lows the past few nights mid 20's, nice mix of maple and white oak mostly oak in the evenings........there is nothing like a wood burning stove when it's cold out......!

Heading below zero this overnight. Got around 3" of snow so far. Its heavy stuff....not wet at all, but heavy. I'll plow/shovel tomorrow morning as we're supposed to get some more this evening.

Going to a low of 3 tonight it says, got a fairly strong wind right now that I can tell you is below 0, hauled home a load of hay today afterwork and it was dark by the time I got the tractor going, was outside for probably close to 2 hours and my face was burning when it started to warm up.

Loaded the OWB with oak for the night.

Did not get below zero overnight....thats always good. 6 right now and looking like 6 ish inches of snow waiting to get moved around by yours truly.

Its still snowing now; I'll wait until it tapers off a bit and off course wait for daylight too.

-11 this morning, good thing they said it was going to only get down to 6 last night :picard:, need a pair of tweezers and a pepper shaker if you need to take a leak this morning.

    Oak in the OWB.

Oh oh. It's dead calm, but I plugged in the block heater on the generator... just in case.
Supposed to get this 32* rain until late this afternoon, 4-5 pm.

Its a mild -1c/30f with around 4 inches of fresh snow. Were heading for cold temps coming up so I dont mind a bit of near freezing. Larch in the box.

30 degrees, going to get down to 20 in the morning. I brought wood up to the house after work. Loading the Fireview with ash from may of 2018. I found my marker split. I went full hoarder in 2018, it'll be 2025 at the earliest before I burn through that years windfall.

Sky is clear, says a low of 9 tonight, it's not quite 8pm yet and it's 8 out. Going to be loading the OWB up with some oak for the night.

Currently 30 with a projected low of 25 overnight. I just raked the coals forward which conjured up some ghostly blue flames. I’ve been burning a mix of red oak, black birch and black locust tonight and the house is plenty warm.
