We got around 5-6 inches of snow yesterday and last night. Did my snow blowing this morning and have the driveway cleaned off and a path made to the pole barn. Weather people are talking about it hitting mid 50's by this coming Wednesday.

It’s not colder here, it’s 70 and the wind is picking up. Hope the storms die down some more before arriving.

@yooperdave…got a couple pics for you from today’s explorations:

In the first lake we visited the water was too cloudy to spear, even in 6 feet, so we left after an hour. The other guys out in 12’ were doing pretty good with the bluegill.

Second lake was a bit better. We saw some small pike and perch, but nothing worth killing or keeping.

On the way home we checked a bay on Lake Mille Lacs for future reference.

A beautiful day out on the ice.

hovlandhomestead that sure does look nice. Don't come to MI, we can't even keep the puddles frozen here. Lower 30's tonight with some clearing, winds have died down some. I guess I should throw a few splits in the boiler.

Well. What can I say? It was in the 70’s yesterday and 40’s today. Temps headed back up for the week. I’m beginning to think I’ll be wearing shorts and flip flops for Christmas. No snow. No chance of snow. Long range forecast has temps on the 50’s & 60’s through Christmas. It is down to 32 tonight so a small red oak uglies fire for tonight.

High twenties overnight. Did a late boiler fill so I don’t have to deal with it first thing in the morning. Power was knocked out until late afternoon, so really appreciating a warm house.

We set a record today. High of 68 but it was early in the AM. Wind has been howling since about noon. All those ravished by tornado are on my mind.

    Currently 42 w/ a windchill @ 33. Inside is 74 w/ a box full of oak.

Weather on a roller coaster ride. Big warm up then cool down then I see 60 predicted for mid week followed by another cool down.

30-70 Steady uptick in high temps through Wed. afternoon. Topping out in the mid to high 60's. Then it drops back down to more wintry temps.

Feels more like spring today as we reached 57f earlier on and it’s 53 now. Fire is still going with some pine though as it’s rather damp.
