Strange weather for the next 36 hours. 50 and foggy now....supposed to hit 62 this evening, then severe thunderstorms tonight, then temperature falls tomorrow until we get down to 25 tomorrow night.

Still trying to get rid of that soft maple, but it is slow going in this weather.

Looks like bread and milk emergency weather for Wisconsin. December thunderstorms for me tonight and tomorrow. Supposed to be a high low of 57/52 today

Mild temps outside tonight for Dec. 35F.
Just about 70 on the main level.

Sick baby in the crib, wife nursing a pepsi, Lab zonked out to the world and the pitbull is crushing some weapons grade farts apparently.
Still battling a bad cold and I can't smell a thing, so I guess I'm good to go as it is.

Cottonwood in the stove. Split a bunch of the uglies I had in the stacks more finely and it got the stove ripping.
Say what you will about weaker BTU woods but it was dropped off free by the tree guy 2 years ago so I'm loving it.

6C2DB94F-8078-421C-A1EE-DA80794818B0.jpeg We finally got about 6” of snow overnight and into the day today. It’s a steady 9 degrees outside. Burning Doug Fir in the Oslo.

    Hope everyone is well!

Lots of rain here. Cold rain.

If it was a little cooler we'd be under a foot of snow. 40° currently. Up north of us only 60 miles or so it's snowing and a lot of Wisconsin is getting a good dumping on.

    Burning ash, and elm.

Crazy weather. Around 4:30 this morning the temp reached 56 which will probably be our high for the day. Already around 50 miles from us the temp is 20 degrees cooler. But we're supposed to get another shot of this warmth next week.

73 in the house when I went to bed and 65 when I woke up. 34 F outside. 4 pieces of Hackberry to set off the Hedge in the stove this morning. Needing some BTU's to get it back and maintain temp while I'm working today... Friday #2....

14*F a piece of pine and cottonwood for the relight with a couple ash splits on top. Got our first snow yesterday, 3-4 inches it looks like. Have to go move snow at the airport today. Phone forecast of 40* today, that seems pretty optimistic.

Morning ya'll. 30 here, are you ready for this....when I got home @0530 from my 12 hr night shift, it was 48 inside the house. I never lit a fire yesterday before going to work and the Mrs. didn't light one last night. Needless to say it isn't 48 no more, currently a balmy 65 inside and rising.

Man that's chilly! (for a living space) Although when I used to work on things in the garage during the winter I'd be thrilled when the space heater got the temperature into the 40s. When your house started warming back up, was there condensation on everything?
