    Geez! Bluetooth for what!?

Currently about 38 here. Calling for some flurries but no accumulation. For Saturday the weather hack is saying 65 degrees!! :jaw: No lows below 32 for the foreseeable future.

Apparently if u have the cordless vacume with blue teeth the saw will tell the vanume to start when u press the trigger on the saw. Then I guess when the saw stops it tells the vaccine to stop also.
It would be pretty handy for keeping the dust down and the room cleaner.
Being a framer it kinda is an un needed extra at this point.
I'm wanting to build a 14x16 cabin with 4 sided logs. I want to use dovetail corners and joints. This saw will make all the female cuts for the dovetails. Plus it will cross cut 14"× 4 1/4" . And other beam cuts.

    Currently 4 above
    Calm fkws in the stove.

A beautiful 32 with light snow falling. Fall shoulder season round 4 is coming up in a couple days :hair: Currently burning a mix of black birch and sugar maple shorties.

Well that changed, earlier one I saw was for a slightly cooler than avg. winter with about avg. precip. Must be La Nina left the planet again? We've had three pretty decent winter days here, I hope that's not all we get. I'm gonna be really screwed if I get another year of no to limited log skidding. Most of it will rot by then. :headbang:

I read the jet stream is stalled, so maybe you are on the arctic side of it. It said Alaska is getting a deep freeze at least. The map showed a good portion of the lower 48 with above avg
    temps

I'm betting not, I think we're in for another warm wet winter. :( Gonna pull up stakes & move into Rope 's spare room pretty soon.

30 and snow here now, and I have a nice fire with red oak and ash going. It's supposed to get warmer this weekend.

I'm very happy to report a very positive maiden voyage for the new miter saw today.
Very very nice. Smooth as glass. Lots of power. Very happy with it.
When I started working today it was 4 or 5 above. When I got done at around 3 it was 11 below. Some things , I'm just not derterous enough in the fingers and hands to do with gloves on . It's a real pain to have to stop and come in to warm up my hands. Or stick them in the exuast hole of the generator box to warm up. I do as much as I can with gloves on but digging a driver bit out of the bit pocket . Or screws or nails out of their pouches . Is a thin glove or bare handed show.
It is amazing to me that a battery operated 12" miter saw can have as much power as a corded saw. But somehow it does. IMG_20211208_152608392.jpg

Took almost 4 hours to frame this end/ rake wall. Probably 45 minutes of that was beating ice off the lumber.
The saw is easy to fully operate with thick insulated gloves on . So that's a Big plus for me.

31, added some red and white oak to the coals before I go to work. That’s as low as it goes for at least a week.

27F this morning. I put in some redbud, black locust and red maple last night around midnight and the house was 71F when I woke up at 6:30(thermostat set to 69). Mission success!
The best part was when my little 4yo girl woke up and said “look at the fire, It’s so big!,” right after I got the coals going again.

It was 26 when I went to bed last night and 33 when I woke up. Supposed to be 60 tomorrow. Still waiting on winter to show up.

Boiler still working on soft maple from yesterday. Got about 3 loads left and I'm rid of that stuff.
