76 here. WTH! Oh well, winter will get here eventually and I’ll probably be sick of it before it leaves. [IMG]

It's about 6 below last I checked this morning. Gotta get motivated and dressed and get out building . My get up and go is still in bed tho.
Feels good standing next to the woodstove .
Sunday I built a plywood box to keep it generator in. Monday I added hinges and stuff. After work . Last night I did some more testing and changing. It made it thru the night with the F350 plugged in. Was still running when my wife got up and started the truck to go to work. She shut it down and brought it in so it would start for me this morning when I got up.
I forget when it was above 0 last. Last week some time. The crankcase breather Tube freezes closed from the condensation. When the generator is outside in these temps. In the box , it's GREAT. Nice and warm. !

Just shoveled 1/2 a pail of ash out of the stove. Had at least 10 gal of Hot big coals I left in. Raked some of them to to the front and threw on 2 splits of ss Aspen.

Im not sure how many folks here have been following the flooding that has being happening in BC but we had a storm roll through that was being called an atmospheric river that dropped upwards of 300 mm/12 inches of rain in a very short period of time. I live in the Rockies in the extreme south east of BC and here we were lucky to only have minor flooding but all routes leading out of Vancouver heading east are closed due to mud slides, washed out bridges and highways under water. Some vehicles have been pushed off roads from mud debris. Communities are cut off from outside help. We have lots of ranching and farming in that area that is under water. There's no word on how much live stock drowned. Its a mess. My family and friends that live down there are all safe but its a horrible situation for so many others. Our temps have dropped back down below freezing here and Im back to burning.

Yeah. Apparently the only way to the rest of Canada is for people to drop down and go through Washington and Idaho.

It was 70 yesterday or the day before. It's dropping to 27f tonight with a high of 50f tomorrow. Burning some shoulder wood made of a mix of cedar, pine, maple and a bit of ugly red oak. House is at 65f at 1am so I just need one good heat to warm the house up to help get the family out of bed in the morning.

55 this morning, but still tossed a few splits of chestnut oak in the basement stove to keep the house a southern comfort temp.

That is really sad. I really feel for the folks out there. Where were those rains when they were really needed?
