Mild week for the most part. By Friday, the highs will only be in the 30's.

    Well, it is Mid-November, no?

    Low 40's right now.

33 here. More Maple gassing in the Wood Gun. Going up to 57ish today! Time to let the fire go out and do a quick clean out of the boiler.

Currently 63 w/ a real feel of 69 and supposed to get warmer! Crazy! I rode the 2 wheel scooter to work and probably will tomorrow too. Been letting my fires go out in the AM. This is last nights fire starter.

It was daylight at that time Dave yes. It has been a beautiful day. I skipped my walk this morning because I knew I’d be moving firewood most of the day. D5BD7033-1E10-43CB-B84F-95493C8F1DD7.png

It finally stopped snowing by supper time. I took a sick day today. By golly this year round employment takes some getting used to.
I might sell a few saws and buy a 555. Husky with heated handles. I got all these frozen handed Stihls. Might as well do something useful with them.
I'll think on it some more.
Currently 10°F. Ambient. Winds from the east at 15 ish.
Supposed to be below 0 in the morning.
1 round of fkws , 2 splits of Aspen and 1 split of white spruce in the stove.

Ogdensburg, you say, ehh? Beautiful area. I did some work up there about 12 years ago. Stayed at the Stonefence inn/ motel, right on the St. Lawrence river. Too bad I only got to spend a few days. Awesome view from my room. They had a killer breakfast for free too. I remember getting a dozen or so sandwiches because it was 830, the free breakfast ended at 9, and they had a ton of stuff left. Funny how you remember places by the food.

We had a couple colder nights, about 27 for a few. Been cruising through some elm. Real dry stuff, probably too dry. I am about 1/3 a cord of it down already.

46 degrees here this morning. I have some large splits of White Pine in the boiler. Which won’t be calling for much heat today. 58 for a high! Time tomorrow go move some more firewood in.

Temps in the mid 40's this AM. About 3 in the morning, for some unknown reason, power went out for about 1500 customers in our area. Started a fire and added some bark. Got the percolator stored in the camp chop box and started coffee. I had 2 ham and cheese sandwiches left over from hunting yesterday so the Wif toasted them up in a pan on the wood stove. Hot coffee and toasted ham and cheese in front of the stove is not a bad breakfast. poweroutcoffee.jpg

To warm for me. No fire tonight.
Had one last night. Pups woke me up at about 3 am. & heard the furnace was on. Downstairs must of been cooler then 64. So I got a hot fire going before I went off to the salt mines.
