Is that the first snow fall for you this season? Weve had one snow fall so far where it stuck. Weve had lots of rain where it got down close to freezing but that's it but there's lots a bit higher up the mountains. All of our cold weather so far has been from clear days.

Other than a few flakes here and there, yeah pretty much the first. Unusual for it to be so late in the year for us.

The snow is sticking to the ground now.

We go for extremes here. This year we had highs of 107 and in March we were 14 below.

    Quite weird wx today.
Started out nice but a little warm. Highways were dry and good. Then it warmed up and started rain/ snow which turned to snow.
40 to 45 mph coming home on what is usually 65 + mph. Fkws and a split of wet white birch in the stove. Which I need to get up and go close down

28 degrees here and snowing lightly. Burning silver maple and 76 degrees in the house.

Side note: I finally lit the Lopi in the gym yesterday before I got my swell on! There is something primitive about building a fire, and then lifting heavy metal thunder:cool:

In the 20's this morning but no sign of snow yet. The 8 day forecast is calling for temps to be getting up into the 50's and 60's.

38 here this morning. House was cool when I woke up so it was time to turn on the heat. I didn't relight the boiler so the baseboards are just warm enough to take the chill off. Good time for a system check...I have one thermostat that isn't working so I need to order a new one.

Supposed to be well into the 20's for the next few nights. Hopefully that will take some leaves off the trees. Still can't see very far out in the deer woods.
