40F OAT. 72F IAT . Fired up the stove yesterday afternoon. Such a reassuring feeling when the stove spools up for the first burn of each season. My 2 dogs just went into comatose season!
It’s currently unseasonably warm here at 35 F Degrees. Having a nice white spruce fire anyway. Going to the Air Force football game tonight!
Beautiful day here in South Muskoka, (central Ontario) sunny and 8'c or 46'f, no fire yet but maybe tonight and just waiting on a call that our new Napolean S25 woodstove is ready for pick up right from the factory in Barrie On. about 40 mins from our home, we are so excited!
46°F outdoors and falling, 72°F indoors and rising. Forecasted low expected in the high 30s in North Central Massachusetts. Birch, Maple, and Cherry keeping the cool outside. Vermont Casting Resolute on duty. Sent from my SM-A526U1 using Tapatalk
39F & clear outside now. Might finally see a little frost in the morning. Maple, Elm, & Ash in the boiler. Stats are set at 72 inside.
70 now and have a decent bed of coals that Ill nurse along until about an hour before I go to bed when Ill reload. Dont want to cook myself out of the living room but dont want to wake up and have to use the furnace tomorrow morning either.
30 outside currently. Fire killed white spruce in the stove . 73° Inside. Since it has been so warm . I decided I might have enough time to get my septic line hooked up. So I rented a 310 John Deere backhoe and spent today working with it. I also wanted to find gravel . Good thing it is an Extenda Hoe. I exed out 20 yards of good gravel and built a driveway apron and put some on the driveway. In a few spots. Also moved some of the dirt pile the previous owner piled up. Widened the driveway. All in all a good day. Tomorrow Lord willing I will get the line hooked up. Then backfill and take a break. This coming work week is looking like it will be a big one. Biggest frustration is the front end loader bucket tilt is opposite from the trash truck I drive at work. I had to do lots of back dragging to fix the whoop de doos I created .
Finally broke into the 30s here I’d love to share a nice picture of a crackling fire in my stove, but I’m still running my oil furnace until the cold really settles in.
A few degrees above freezing, with potential for rain/drizzle/snow today. Found a source for easy firewood, so I'm forever burning pine.
Fire yesterday, not so much for the heat (though was damp), but to lift our spirits. Today sunny and 70. No fire.
Hey there! We had a nice fire going all last night but let it go out in the middle of the night. Currently 5c/41f. No pine for me this year as I was able to get into some doug fir and larch and fill the stacks. Almost every year I have some Spruce and Pine so this is unusual for me. If you have tons of pine you will be a warm guy this winter!
