    Chillier temps coming for us.

With the mostly sunny days and solar gain during the day, it will probably be (remember to) close the windows by supper and still be fairly warm in the house by daybreak time of year.

I guess I need to remember to get a weather station.
But, a Crowley Alaska thermometer and a pair of eyeballs will do the same thing.
I would like to have an anamometer up at the face of the property so I can get some data for a windmill.
If nothing else major comes up. I'll get a set of Nokian Hakkapllitta' L3 for the truck this coming payday. I think my wife may be driving my truck to work this winter.

Beekeeping and firefighting, the only reasons for wearing a coat in summer. I timed out at 65 in June for the need to wear an insulated coat, now I can wear just a vented coat.
    Handshake, thumbs up!

Supposed to be 84 today. At least I’m ready.
In the meantime I’ll keep making firewood.

yeah, probably so. We're setting records for high Temps here. I'm just ready for fall and when we have a summer like this we usually have about a 2 week fall and speed into winter.

Same here regarding closing windows at night. It got up to 84 on Sunday. No indoor fires yet, but I think Saturday night we'll have an outside fire on the patio. Friends are coming into town for the annual Oktoberfest and we'll head back to our place afterwards.

Going down into the 40's here tonight. I have my break in fire going with some ash and oak kindling, and will be dampering it down shortly. Let the season commence!

Low 70's & 50's here, pretty nice! I let the boiler go out after the sludge treatment run. I'll drain & refill this weekend & then wait till I need it & light it up for the season most likely.

Other than an strange anomaly Tom will ALWAYS have colder winter temps than I will.
And I will always have more wind than he does. It can and does Really blow sometimes here in Delta.

Woke up to 52 here in CT. Its coming but the house still stays too warm overnight to justify a morning burn. Last year we started burning mid OCT.
