We had rain overnight and this morning with a temp of 41, I started a fire with some pine after coffee and a shower.

The rain has stopped but will be moving in again pretty soon so maybe another day off with a hand filing on the rakers on the 310 & 311. The wife wanted some spaghetti sauce so after she's done baking, I'll make the sauce for tomorrow.

That's good, we finally received some rain and it will help some but we still need more. I think that Syracuse NY was about 53 inches below their average snowfall for the winter of 2020-2021.

The residents along the St. Lawrence River had been dealing with high water levels the past years so they increased the outflows and the news report I saw the other night have it down 2 to 3 feet this year, I guess they better come up with a new plan. :headbang:

Temps dropped off quick yesterday evening so had a nice fire going in the Regency with silver maple and white birch. Mother Nature is throwing a curve ball today with temps in the low 30's and snowing so more of the same (good time to use up some the lower quality SS splits). Just when things were finally drying out (although we need the rain/snow). At least it hides the mess in the woodlot.

A week ago it was 80. 40 and rain here now, going down into the 30's tonight. Damp and cold out, just miserable. Came home from work and have a nice fire going now with sugar maple and red oak. Peace.

38 and supposed to get to around 55 today with cloudy conditions. Have not reloaded yet but may put a few pieces of cherry or something in. Very hard to gauge and not overheat as if we have sun it won't take much.

About 50 in The Burg. The bubbling goo is keeping things warm this weekend. :emb: I need to clean the cap on my chimney and the Wood Gun. But too many other things going on right now. So glad it is warmer outside. :)
