Got home from church today around noon with temps in the 40's OT and mid 60's inside. Got a fire going. No sun to help warm up the house today.
44 this morning. I have Cherry and Beech in the Wood Gun. It has been off for 48+ hours. With wife and kids gone on vacation trip, and the beautiful temps, there has been little to no heat and hot water demand. They returned last night. Now the demand for hot water for showers will be way up! Great to have them home safe and sound!
Surprise we hit 60 yesterday and was not a bad day after 3/4" rain. This morning it is sprinkling and 46.
Was 23* going into work at midnight and 22* at 0800 when I got off work. The locals running the red light causing traffic problems.
We had single digits @ 7 am yesterday. +28 @ 7:30 am today. It got up to 50° above today. It's Weird ! First time it's been this warm since the first week of October 2020. More than 7 months. Problem is I just got everything else that I had to do first done. Now I need to go to the woods. . Everything is turning to mush.
High yesterday and low this morning. The OWB does a nice job of keeping the house warm without running you out. A partial load last so long it hard to keep track, I will be checking once a day to see if a few sticks need to be added.
We had brought some pine in the other day so with the temp at about 43 this morning with some rain, I started a fire in the Liberty. We still have just over three face cord of pine left that we had planned on burning so we should have two face cord left. I'm not sure when our last fire was but the wife was missing them.
Nice 44* day but the snow is starting to rot, made getting stuck really easy. Only 4 good ones ( more than 30 minutes of digging out) and tons of tip overs.
We have some rain coming in with some cooler temps for the next 3 or 4 days so we put in a load of Pine today. I had planned on felling a few Ash today before I start splitting but since I only slept for 2 hours at the most overnight, a chainsaw was the last thing I wanted in my hands. I did grab a few hours sleep after lunch so I'll be ready tomorrow just in time for the rains. I did hand file both chains on the 310 and 311 so they're all set.
