Same weather we are going to have. Rain tomorrow. Than cool, warming up Saturday. No fire this morning. Probably have one the next 3 days with the cooler temps.

I'm like yooperdave , 50 around 6:15 this morning with lots of wind overnight but now it is close to 40. Cold front coming thru and I got the stove ready to light. 68 inside with good sun streaming thru the windows. Looks like a fire each day for the next 3 days.

+ 20 this morning I might go down and built a fire in the stove.
Will definitely build one @ the homestead. And that will be 7 or 8 year standing seasoned fire killed White Spruce.
Yesterday I built the fire at home and 1 armload had the house warmed up from 15° inside to 65° .
Insulation is such a GREAT thing. image_Message_1617058088121.jpg I finished the vapor barrier under the house yesterday . Today will start blowing insulation. Lord Willing !

It is 72 here right now. Tomorrow night it is supposed to drop t0 30 and they are predicting 6"-8" of snow. I have prepared the fire so all my wife has to do is light it. That sounds like a really bad metaphor......

We had a temp of just over 28 this morning with a load of cherry and pine going in the Liberty.

NOAA is predicting 9 inches of snow starting on 4.1.21 / 2 AM to 4.2.21 / 2 AM.

You brought back bad memories for me. I put my in ground pool in back in 2000. I had the whole bottom, deep and shallow just perfect and ready to pour concrete/vermiculite and a monsoon rain moved in.

Still building a fire everyday here. Today was a little cool got up to 37*. Tomorrow it suppose to start warming up into the 50's and then 60's. I am ready.
I did go outside today and replaced the fan belt on my backhoe. Got it done and it is now off my mind.

18 for the morning walk today. A strong wind driving some light snow made the walk even more "brisk".

I am off work today so was outside all morning working on bucking a neighborhood scrounge of silver maple, and came in just now to warm up.

It is holding at 25f here with s stiff windchill reading in the single digits.

Feels nice inside at 72f with spruce and a little birch for good measure.

We are going to enjoy the fire all day through tomorrow morning's cold temperatures.

Then we start climbing to the 70s for the Easter weekend.

We ended up with another inch of the white stuff. This wasn't wet or heavy since the temps were only in low 20's at the highest of the day.....more like teens the rest of the day......more like low singles wind chill factored!
