Rainy day, mid 50s today. House still warm from last night's burn, so no fire this morning. Hitting 70 for rest of week
Was 47 and raining when we got up. Sun is coming out and 55 degrees. Heard my first song birds this morning.
Another day, another foot +plus of snow. Woke up to another 14-16 inches of snow and a migraine this morning. The national weather service predicted 3-5 inches. Couldn't tackle the snow until late morning. Fortunately, I had the sun helping me out at that point. I'm grateful for the snow, but I'm running out of places to put it. 75 degrees in the house. Burning some awesome, dry Douglass Fir.
It's 47.7 tonight with a load of Cherry going in the wood stove. Tomorrow will be nice but Friday we could receive just under 1.25 inches of rain, that should clear the hill I plan on cutting on of any snow or ice.
According to one station, we've been getting light snow since before 11:00 last night but it really has been all rain. This station often seems to report snow when it is not snow though.
58 on Oak Hill. Had rain overnight. 2 days of sun and then more rain on Sunday. The mud is a mess on my outdoor jobs. Let the fires go out a couple days ago. Geothermal heat pumps have not run much.
60 outside. No fire, though had a pine and tree of heaven last night. About 1/8 of a cord left on deck. Dont believe I'll bring anymore down. Calling for some strong wind gusts today. Ground is very wet, hopefully I don't have any blow overs. Trees are starting to sway already.
Started the first fire of the day after a Sergi's pizza for supper, I have some Cherry and Pine going in the Liberty.
That looks a bit better than ours. I don't like the wi9nd and we have enough rain for now. I think we got over an inch last night and this morning. I'm glad we are on sand. It's been rather cool most of the day.
We had a low of 19 overnight. No new snow but slippery outside as there was a freezing drizzle at some point.
Mid 40's here now, dropping into the 30's later tonight. It has been 70 the last few days. Have a slow sugar maple fire going, keeping the house warm and the furnace off.
