18 here this morning. Just added two large splits of White Pine to the Wood Gun. Burn the Pine while we are able to be around and load more often.
Low of 32F this morning. Was 42 & sun yesterday. Got about an inch of wet snow overnight, but it's supposed to melt with some sun & then maybe 50 tomorrow! Poplar in the boiler, headed out to process some firewood.
42 here right now and a steady drizzle. The pooch and I just got back from taking the trash and recycling to the township site. I loaded some cherry and ash about 7 this morning. Going to throw a coat of wax on the truck.
36 and misty and damp out. Heavy rain tomorrow. Will have to stay out of the muck this weekend and no firewood processing. Allows me to put a laminate floor in the upstairs and cross a project off the list.
It didn't take too long to melt off the new snow but the rest is going slow as what is left is packed. Almost got the atv stuck this afternoon. I thought about removing the snow blade but we still have to go through March.
I like that plan Zap! Made 50 here today with some sun. Snow's melting nice & slow so that's good. No massive puddles or flooding. Still 37 which feels really nice. Bright moon out now. Boiler loaded with Poplar & Elm, it used very little today.
Temps are into the high forties and will be up to sixty tomorrow. Boiler is full of fence row stuff I cut last Fall. Spent about a half hour with my reciprocating saw and pruning blade. Cut a bunch of saplings to size and stuffed them in the boiler. clering fence row and turning the trash into energy.
30 for the overnight low. 53 forecast for tiday but the wind is supposed to get unruly. Actually windy for the next 3 days. 47 yesterday.
44 here and 71 inside. Rain all day and 57 predicted, too warm for a reload so we'll start a fire this evening.
41 & cloudy with a south wind here. Just threw in a few chunks of Poplar & Box Elder I found in a stack from late fall. Hasn't been stacked that long, but it was dead when I cut it so we'll see.
Got down to 37 here this morning. It sprinkled for a little bit, just enough to make the deck and driveway wet. Looks to be over for now. I may get by with only one load of wood in the stove today.
It’s been melting for 2 days straight. Sloppy, heavy snow right now. 32.4°. Burning some coals up with silver maple and cherry this morning
Was upper 50's yesterday so washed work van and Tippy (F250). 37f now and not going up much today. I may do a couple of small fires have to see.
