Went down to 7F last night with clear skies & no wind. Nice bright morning here, stars & now sun. Gonna load Elm here soon.

 

Snowing steady now, almost 2". Forget the bread and milk, this is getting serious. Time to go for the beer and butts!

 

Raining here. 38 outside/65 inside. Big leaf maple in the stove.

 

Another mild overnight here. Only got to 2!

Blower motor seemed to be on vacation overnight...it wasn't running much at all!

 

25 out, 71 in. One split of red oak, one ash, one boxelder and one tulip poplar on last night’s coals.

 

5 this morning and 72 inside. BL burning doing the work. BL has done us a hell of a job keeping us warm!

 

9 clear and sunny. Feels very mild compared to all the below zero weather we've had recently. Taking out some ash and reloading Elm.

 

30* Light snow 2" - 4" forecast Red and Sugar Maple in the OWB keeping us warm.

 

Got down to 1 this morning with birch, elm and oak keeping the house warm.

 

-1 this AM. Boiler was ready for a reload. Burning some pine scraps for the day....reload this evening for another 0ish night.

 

Got another 1 1/2" of snow overnight. Just enough to have to shovel.

 

We ended up burning a bag of pellets overnight. We had 15.6 this morning with the ashes from the wood stove going out to a metal garbage can in the woods, more beech and maple went in the Lopi this morning.

We have a temp of 27.4 at the moment, feels great.

 

20's tonight. Lake effect snow predicted for the next 24 hours (up to 12"depending on where the bands drop it) but thus far bupkis here. Burning sugar maple. I took the dog out a while ago and that sugar maple smoke smells wonderful. Drinking whiskey and relaxing by the fire now. Hope everyone has a great evening.

 

21 heading to single digits overnight. Have cherry, white oak and ash chuggin along. 73 inside. Warm up next week which is fine to melt off some snow cover so I can get back out cutting. Had to lay out in the cold a few times this week to splice some fuel lines on Black Betty after the fuel selector valve started leaking. Have a garage but wasn't liking the idea of fuel leaks with a reznor heater in the garage. She's ready to haul again...

Same here, calling for -4 for tonight, still a big improvement from the steady -30s it was. Topped off the OWB with oak, didn't load much in this morning and it must have burnt quick as the OWB was down on temp when I got home and house is down to 66... Oops. Burning hot now and will be back to 69 in a little while.

 

About 15 here dropping to 11 overnight. Made an extra big load of ash and locust so I don’t have to get it right when I wake. Going to hav3 to cut some this weekend or I will have to get into my stack that I am holding on for next Fall.

staying out of the woods all deer season really cuts into good cutting time.

 

15 now. Headed to 5 tonight. Burning pretty much just ash, with a few random splits of silver maple mixed in.

It's 18.1 tonight with a possible low of 11, I have some beech with some red maple going in the Liberty.
