27 and snowing. Ironwood and hickory. Would rather be burning the silver maple but I gotta get it up to the house.
Well, it's not uncommon but when I woke and let the Dogs out it was 24º Now looks like 26º Got the 2 week rack filled back up yesterday which hold close to 1/2 cord. Now were just waiting for the snow to start and the Nor-Easter to come! We'll either get an inch or 2 or possibly get slammed if it sits off shore and spins, (Which has happened)...
24 here. About an inch of new snow, stiff east wind. Gonna load a few Oak splits & brave the "blizzard" to get to church lol.
-3 here now had a good fire going before I dozed off. Slept through a fire feeding and now playing catch up . Just reloaded at 5 am with locust and birch 66 in the house and climbing.
Thanks! Believe it or not, they are old "Diner booths" face to face and back to back, they were removing and scraping from a place. The light went off when I saw them and save my back from bending over. It also gives the Pups a cool shady place to lay in the summer...
27 this morning with light snow. No more than 2 inches of the white stuff overnight and not getting a lot more today. Still working on the paper birch to keep us warm.
We had a low of -13 this morning before the temp started to rise, we're at -10 . This morning we had some nice coals from the overnight fire so I loaded up some Ash and Maple which took off nice.
We were down to 10°f overnight and now it’s only 17°. Didn’t think we’d be that far off each other’s temp. Expecting 14-18” of that white chit.
Installed a new one at my SILs place last year and was over on that side of the house the other day took a look at it and the plastic cage that go's on after was completely jammed with frozen lint. No idea where the heat was going? Cage is gone.
