2F with a full moon, crystal clear sky and solid snow cover. No need for a flashlight outdoors! Sounds like we will reach mid teens today and then down to 10 below overnight. Brrr:coffee:

Believe I'll be reloading a little earlier today!

7 this morning when I got up but 84 inside! Guess that oak is really doing a good thing. Only got a couple inches of snow yesterday.

Clear and cold today. 5 degrees outside. 75 degrees inside. Burning some primo Douglass Fir.

This is the view out of the kitchen this morning.

Another example of Gods country! Might I ask? What does one do for a living in the metropolis of Pine! Bedroom town? Looks like you are nicely remote but still close to the big city.

Ha ha. This is definitely quite the metropolis! We have one stoplight:rofl:

I’m a firefighter and Paramedic in the Denver metro. I work a 48/96 schedule. So, 2 days on and 4 days off. I only have to make the drive 5 days a month. The drive isn’t too bad unless we are getting some serious weather. Can be a bit sketchy then.

30° and a foot of new snow overnight, with about another forecast for today. Fired up some Tamarack.

We had a low of 15.5 this morning, I shut the pellet stove off and started our first fire around 10:15 in the wood stove with some of the maples and ash.

Looks like a couple nights of below zero temps for overnight on the schedule here.

That's cold. We haven't been that cold even though we've had some cold snaps but nothing like January is usually like. February can be cold but usually the sun is getting stronger which is nice and March can be a bitch if we get that wet heavy snow.

The lakes are pretty much wide open for this time of year so if the lake effect bands shift north, we can get a bunch of snow real quick.

Snowing sideways out of the north. Temp is 30, headed for 15 tonight. Boiler has some black locust and hedge loaded....didn't realize it was supposed to be this windy so I might have to throw some more on there to get me though the night.
