Very nice looking setup! A buddy of mine with an insert once spend $118.00 for fuel oil for the whole winter here in PA. Keep the fire fed and it’ll keep the bills and the cold away. Congrats!

And then there are strange guys who have spent $0.00 for fuel for heat in over 40 years!

The fog we had overnight ended up frosting every tree in the region.

Started out at 14* was up to 20* and climbing. Was a clear blue sky earlier but now over casted. Got the Bill's game recording and will watch it later. Don't have to watch the commercials that way.

We hit -2 this morning with some sugar maple providing the heat, our high so far is just over 19.2.

CBVT. He is certainly self sufficient. But someone from here, maybe Well Seasoned ?, said he sits on a milk crate while watching the football game and splits firewood in his living room. o_O Maybe a little strange?

19 here this morning. Loaded the stove with chunkies. I usually toss them on top of the stacks of wood in my wood shed so every once in awhile I have a bunch of them I have to burn. Makes good heat and a beautiful fire to look at when the secondaries kick in.

We had 16.3 this morning with another load of cherry going in the wood stove. It looks like most of this week is nice until Sunday night when things get colder, it's time to bring in some better hardwood.

I'm pretty sure we have some yellow birch and some sugar maple stacked, two face cord but I'll check that today.
