We had 23.7 this morning with another load of cherry going in the liberty. For the overnight load we burned a bag of pellets.

30° out now. Stove is full of ash. The wood, not ashes;).

77° in the stove room, and like 68° in the back bedrooms.

We'll have some snow melting this week with high temps in the mid 30's all week. Friday-sunday we might get more snow.

Unfortunately we'll be losing our "frosted" trees when the snow on the fir trees melts.

I sure love how conifers look with snow on them.

We're still at 30, after I came in from plowing, I took some ashes out to the outside fireplace and started a fire with some maple and cherry.

This week we'll put in a good load of American Hophornbeam so we're ready when the colder weather gets here.

Yes sir! I have a lot of it and its a good thing this year. I've been able to save a bunch of my higher btu stuff by burning up the red maple. It does a fine job though by itself.

The Lopi Liberty is loaded with soft & sugar maple, some cherry splits and one small round of American Hophornbeam.

NOAA is calling for a low of 27 in the morning.

27* out 70* in...we got some ice yesterday morning that turned to about 2" of light fluffy snow in the afternoon. Roads were really bad around noon. Luckily I had nowhere to go the rest of the day. Looks like its gonna be mild this week with temps in the mid to upper 30s.

Red maple, ash and walnut is on deck.

Let the stove go out yesterday....Sunday the 3rd. Last I checked, this morning, it was 60* inside and 28* outside. I will set the thermostat at 52* for the rest of January, February, March and April....and let the propane furnace keep it there. Water lines are blown out and rv antifreeze in the traps.

2021 starts in AZ this winter.

29* out 73* in....its gonna be another mild day here with highs near 40* I believe. It is just cold enough to keep things from drying out yet warm enough to keep from freezing. Yuck!

    Red maple for the day.

What? Temp this morning is 3 for my walk! Didn't see that one coming. Got back and grabbed a chunk of maple, shagbark, two small starters of basswood and lit a fire in the basement stove!
