30° and snowing pretty hard. We were not supposed to get snow until 7 pm or so, and it was supposed to be around an inch. Wrong. As of this am they revised the snow expectations to start about 1 pm and last until 8 or so. Snow totals expected to be 3-6" now.

It did start at 1pm. And with the way it's snowing, I believe 3-6" will be accurate.

    Burning ash, and honey locust.

Let the stove go out this am. Had indoor temps at 80* this morning....24* outside. Now it's still 76* in and 33* out.
Will restart with pine and ash when needed this evening.

No snow here and burning some nice paper birch. Leaves a nice bed of coal after 10 hour burn.

Looks like it may be starting to snow a little out there. The street lamps looked a bit hazy about a block away......no, I didn't have anything to drink last evening either! I'm saving that for the Woodwidow virtual retirement party!

It's 27.7 tonight and we have some cherry on the bottom row with the top row lineup of hard & soft maple we had leftover from last year.

It has started to snow but nothing heavy yet, hopefully we get close to five inches, that will make walking on the ice a tad easier.

20 F here this morning. Just gave the Wood Gun half a load of White Pine. Looks like we got about 3-4 inches of snow. I haven’t made it out yet to get a good idea of it.

30* out 68* in....we got a nice layer of ice in everything yesterday. We never lost power though. Today is supposed to hit 40* so the ice will be gone soon.

Red maple doing its thing again.

15 overnight and that temp held for my morning walk. What I thought was turning into snow last night was not....just a little mist I guess.

35 and a heavy must all day. Kinda damp cold that feels worse than the thermometer says.

Boiler loaded with walnut. I used to think walnut wasn't bad to burn....but I've since reconsidered.

26 out right now, had a heavy fog this morning that covered all the trees in frost and they never lost it, calling for heavy fog in the morning again. 69 inside and OWB is full of shortys and punky scraps from cutting today.

It was in the 40's here today so only had a small load in burning through the day plus the wife was working in the stove room packing up Christmas totes. I went muzzleloader until about noon, saw a few tails but no decent shots. Just brought in some sugar maple and beech and stacked by the stove as we have rain and snow moving in.

30* out 67* in....we're supposed to get more ice today. We are in a winter storm watch until 3 pm. More yuck type weather.

    Red maple again.

Had a bit of freezing rain & ice Friday, yesterday was decent, plowed the drive etc. Went to my Mom's for our final Christmas party of the year! Temps have been stuck right near 30F no real sun or wind, same this morning. Settling in for the long dreary month of January with Oak in the boiler. I need either a good snowstorm or some sun to break up the monotony lol. Off to church I go.
