Ours will be a long ways off. We have no chimney and will probably build an outdoor one from the basement up past the roof on the back of the house. Old style with new technology for best heat output. We’ll see what the future brings. Three teenagers going to college will probably mean wait until we retire and do it then. And that’s just fine. This Wood Gun boiler heats house, garage, and DHW. Can’t complain about that.
Got a little cooler last night that forecasted, (hope those poor people don't get called on the carpet for that....) Dropped to 23 here which is still mild by any measure, right Rope ???
Shoot brother. If you have a boiler all you’re really missing is the ambiance of the wood stove ! You’re set until retirement! Then u can put the stove in, kick back with a hot cup of Joe and the lap dog. Cheers to retirement!!
22* out 70* in....looks like another mild day with a high of 57* forecast. Its not looking good for a white Christmas at this point but we still have time. Red maple in the nc30 again.
Hanging around 30ish again. OWB isn't even breathing hard! Looks like another week of mild temps for highs in the 20's-30's. Thank you! Why could this have happened during those years while I was working?
Please don't kick me out, with the exception of a handful of nights in the upper teens.... I have not lit a fire unless it was under a hunk of meat. Prolly next week or 2.
At my farmhouse. Was 55f inside when I arrived. About 63f outside. Cleaned the stove, started a fire with some pine kindling, and loaded with some trash wood, doady pine and chinaberry and some pecan that fell out of the yard a year ago and sat around and had the outside of the small limbs decaying away. Put it in the shed a few months ago to be dry.
Warmed up to 44* today loaded the OWB at 1600hrs with Butternut, Poplar, Red Maple good till tomorrow 70* in the house.
