It’s 30 and gonna going down to 24F. Half rounds of soft maple in the stove

Spend a late afternoon working on a 2.5 cord holz...got a good deal from a local firewood processor looking to unload a good bit of mixed species.

But we ran out of daylight...tomorrow I’ll finish it with my boys. D9258D64-DD37-4AEE-8F48-B020A9356D3C.jpeg

26 here. Loaded her down with some maple rounds and a couple splits. Probably won’t last till morning but I’m sure there will be coals to get something started again! CF2D69E0-AA84-46DF-8616-FEEA6DE8C9C2.jpeg

Nice morning here. 32 with just a slight south breeze.

Boiler still working on yesterday's load of cherry, maple, and a little bit of black locust. The pile I was hoping would get me through November still has several days left in it.

18* out 64* in this morning :shiver:

I kinda let the fire die down too much cause I was working on other stuff late last night. I think it was down to 62* when I put in the overnight load so I was playing catch up.

Ash and elm will bring the temps up today though. Its supposed to be a fairly nice but cool day with a high of 37* forecast.

39f here and I am burning red oak with some white oak and cherry here and there. Feels like a sauna in the stove room where my daughter is decorating the tree. :dennis:

Working through the stack of splits from my "unsplittable" pile from a couple years ago. These were the first splits process with my hydro splitter scored from Lowes in early 2019. All kinds of stuff in there... cherry, elm, prolly some ash, mulberry. It's fun to see what comes off next... which is odd for me cuz most of the stacks are by species.

Anyway... 68 in the house this morning after a moderately size overnight burn. 25F outside... cold enough for the ski slope next door to start up the snow guns last night.
Guess it's about that time after having what seemed like a warmer than normal Fall.
