Oh, I had my hand on it, but did not seem to matter. I should have seen it coming so my bad. At least I will live to split another day.
32 this morning. Wood Gun was completely empty but just a few small red coals. Those went down the nozzle quick when I tried to save them. LOL Added two large and very dry Pine splits and a piece of lit, twisted paper and we are off.
39* out 73* in....rain started overnight and is supposed to continue all day. Temps are gonna drop after the rain moves through. I don't think I'm gonna reload the stove this morning. That may change. We will see.
19 for an overnight low. Ended up with only 2" and that was last evening. May get some more this morning though. .........now where did I leave that shovel.......
41F outside. Awoke to the downstairs of my house at a chilly 63. Thermostat is busted! Got a fire going with ash, spruce, sugar maple and yellow birch until I can make it to Home Depot later. Going to be a relatively warm day with torrential rains. Lovely.
35, windy, and spitting a little snow every so often. Boiler is chewing on some poplar, locust, and cherry from yesterday's load. Supposed to be the coldest night of the season @20 with stout NW wind.
Winter arrives in the south with some snow squalls. Had a small dry out fire yesterday and loaded up this morning with white oak and some randoms from my power line clearing cleanup. Few hickory Rounds with white oak split
34* out 73* in....its not supposed to get out of the 30s today. We are also going to get a few scattered showers I believe. Red maple kicking out the heat again this morning.
57 here on December 1st!!! WTF. The weather patterns lately are so unpredictable. Supposed to get down in the low thirties tonight.
27 and feels like 15 outside with snow coming down. 68 and ash and cherry in the stove. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12 right now. According to the extended forecast, it looks like another week of temps in the 30's. MILD!
32 out this morning 71 in running small loads of ash and cherry. 32 in the deer stand and wet snow at the moment....
First time this year I didn't need a fire starter. Still had good coals for a restart this morning. I had loaded the stove around 10 last night and didn't get up until almost 8 this morning. I didn't think box elder and poplar would still give good coals after 10 hours. Temps in the mid teens at 8 this morning.
