Temps up and down driving us to drink ( not bad ). Yesterday in the teens, this morning mid 40's. The SS pile is gone, gone. Time to paint the black winter tire wheels bright silver.
60? Wow! 31 feels like 18 here. Just enough of a snowfall to be able to tell there was one....not even enough for tracking!
41 and 75. Fire is almost out so I shoveled some ash. Back into the 30’s tonight. High around 50 today should make for a great day to cut a little more wood.
44 outside 68 inside. Cherry in the stove , coffee with eggnog. First day of a week off work. Morning everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
25F and still outdoors. Nice. 74F indoors with the stove slowly chewing on yesterdays load of big old Elm half rounds. Anyone watching the news this AM? Who here would wait 12 hrs for a fast food burger? In a drive through no less.... A new measure of stupid. Sorry. Can't help but laugh.
No idea what you're referring to about the burger but sitting at 25 here also this morning. May take a ride to the cottage this morning.
Well, seems a lot of residents in Colorado tend to get the munchies! Maybe they have poor perception of time while they're baked?
Ash and elm shorts over night. 27 out this am. The ash and elm shorties are getting less ugly and almost normal length at this point. Heck, it's almost Thanksgiving, so not bad, not bad at all.
If you've never had in n out burgers, you should. They are really good. I can see why people would wait in lines. Although 12 hours is ridiculous.
56 F in the sun. Sweat on the pits and head. I'm ready for some colder stuff. This burger thing a cheesehead phenom ?
Got to 52f today, but it’s around 46 now. Feeding the stove with all sorts of short and chunky pieces.
45F today & sun, spent the day on an excavator expanding my processing area, it was nice! 38 & dropping now, Black Walnut in the boiler. Thanks you for the thoughts & prayers about my buddy that passed away as well.
White Cedar is low grade firewood. BUT: Smells delicious fresh cut and burning. ( Some of us smell our wood stacks.) Splits easy for great kindling. It rots from the heartwood which some like for birdhouses.
I’ve been cutting and splitting in short sleeves the past few days, but burning red oak that was dead standing for at least 1yr before css 2yrs ago. Way less ash than the blackgum I’ve been burning.
