23 out 75 in burning beech. Cold windy day in the 30’s on deck and teens tonight, coldest of the season so far. Then back to 50 over the weekend. Just a preview of things to come.
26* out 68* in...walnut and red maple to warm things up. We got our first dusting of snow last night.
A balmy 32f here with a stout wind out of the south. Tough ash dumping weather as everything is very dry around here. Heading for a high of 50f today. The next few days will really warm up (60's!). I am not going to complain one bit. Just going to enjoy it while it last's!
You're making me jealous Rope , I see the windburn on the girls faces in the last pic. We've ridden at -10, we used to carry 2-1/2 gals. of gas in the luggage rack of my wife's Artic Cat touring sled. it came in handy with all the kids and sleds. Our Yamaha Bravo the youngest drove, only had a 4 gallon tank.
Woke up to a light dusting of snow, windy and low 20s (without the wind chill). Stoked the embers and tossed in some white birch, ash, and beech. Finished splitting and stacking everything that was left in the lot yesterday (except for a small pile of uglies) so I might take a day off from working outside. Supposed to warm up by the end of the week anyway. Need to break out the sled and give it a once over. Snow is late this year but it'll be here eventually.
21f out 71 inside, that wind is whipping today, got some maple and ash warming up the kids on their remote learning
How’s the tune up on the sled going? Not sure if it was the cold...800r carved summit had a few stumbles yesterday. I had some red heet in it so the carbs may not have been iced. Or just the low rpm’s, thing want to run and doesn’t tell like poking around.
