53F this morning, 39 & dropping now. Sideways rain, but no snow, wind as all get out. Just got word that an old school mate was killed by a falling tree coming in from hunting. Walnut & Poplar in the boiler.

Sorry to hear the bad news! This is why I always say to stay out of the woods on windy days!

Well, there is about 7" of heart attack snow out there that got put in it's place by yours truly and 99 lbs. I had done the deck a few different times earlier in the day; thats what she cleaned off.

I did the rest and the driveway for the first time today..........

    Yup!

Where I shoveled today is actually too short for a plow. The driveway is about 24' (ish) from the road and its a lot neater job with the shovel. I bought the plow for the cottage driveway.

As it stands now, for the rest of the month, we will have real mild temps. Daytime highs above freezing (every day) and only two nights in the teens for lows. The rest of the overnight lows will be in the 20's. Unheard of!

37* out 65* in.....we had some pretty strong wind gusts here through the night. Its hard keeping the house warm when you cut a couple holes in the ceiling (kitchen remodel).

Red maple warming things back up.

My oldest son just went out deer hunting, I figured after last nights high wind and downpoors of rain the deer were bedded down and will probably will be moving and feeding now so he might bump into something. Here's hoping!

Not so! They were running all over this morning. Yesterday they were too until the thunder storms moved in, but they started moving again just before dark.

Overnight low of 17, but massive sunshine making up for yesterday's snowfall. Probably right around 7" but the sun is doing its job today.
