20f this morning. Next week, we'll have a warm up with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s. I think I'll pull the fires of the OWB for a few days.
32 here and snowing pretty heavily. Supposed to last until 3 this afternoon. If the rain we’ve gotten all week had been snow we’d be in trouble
32 out, we got just enough snow to see it here and there, so it stayed south of us. You guys can have it lol 76 inside burning hemlock and beech. 2 splits of each kept us cozy all night long with a great bed of coals to start this morning. Looks like we might get a heat wave late next week
22 F out there this morning. Bubblin goo burning until later this morning when I get the first fire going.
Snowing out pretty good now, and starting to stick. 30 here now and will drop to the teens tonight. I just got home from night shift and bumped the furnace on, I will be lighting off our first woodstove fire tonight, and from there it'll be game on. Full disclosure, the hearth becomes a catchall of things coming into the house all summer that need to be put away. So, I don't feel like moving stuff now after work.
Low to mid 40s. Light rain but suppose to be moving out of area. Tonight gets into 30s and stay cool rest of weekend. Have mix of black cherry, hackberry, tree of heaven for daytime. House was 75* wheh left for work. Junior be in charge of stove until I get home. Black locust and cherry on deck for the night shift.
Still snowing and temps dropping, with lows in the teens tonight, "I'm dreaming of a white Halloween....." That's how we do it New England.
Between 1 and 2 inches of snow over night 30* burning up some standing dead bark less soft maple in the OWB.
Just looked and the highest temperature in MI at 2:40 pm is 39. We had a few snowflakes today but that is all and that is enough.
34ºF and about an inch of heavy white stuff on colder surfaces, mostly tree brancches, but a little in spots on the ground. Was picking the last of my peppers because it is supposed to be fairly cold tonight and had to come in to put some more clothes on. Not quite used to this. Been a few years since we had snow at Halloween. It happens every now and then though. Still not burning any wood though. I only paid $1.14 for my last 200 gallons of HHO so using it isn't much of a bleed, but some more cold days like this and the wood stove is happening.
NOAA is calling for a low of 15 in the morning, even though I cleaned the majority of the pellet stove at the end of last year, I went through it a week or two ago and it was already to go. Tonight I put one bag of pellets in for the overnight heat.
