We are lucky. Sebago is close enough to keep the frost at bay until it gets a little colder. Wife just got back from town and said once you get away from the lake a little more it’s white everywhere and the lake is shrouded in fog. We’re about 1/4 mile from the water and right in the sweet spot. The trade off is more snow than most around us usually.

oof, 31ºF this morning. Only 9 degrees lower than forecast.
Picked the last 16 Winter squash yesterday but put off the last tomatoes for today.
    Late start this morning.
Fell asleep early last night and then woke up at midnight having gone thru a whole sleep cycle ready to start the day.

A gorgeous sunny morning at 33F. Cedar, Blue Spruce, and Tulip Poplar keeping the chill at bay.

I just changed the furnace air filter and the filters that are in the floor vents, and test fired the oil fired forced hot air for 15 minutes. All good as it should be. I need to regasket the woodstove and clean the chimney which I will do this upcoming week. Then I imagine we will start burning morning fires, I am in no hurry. Once we start it will be 6 months of doing so......our 38th year with the Vermont Castings Resolute. One of the old original good ones, not the stuff they sell today.

Burning nat gas here. Low of 26 overnight with some snow, not enough to cover everything.

!!!! Super! Moose is one that was on my bucket list but unfulfilled. But once a friend gave us a couple steaks. Yummy! I also had a standing invitation from a friend in AK to hunt with him but once again missed out. But I still have a few deer around.

We never see groups of that many deer together in NH, that's amazing. You got some big racks on those boys Dennis, hope you get one!
