Freeze and frost advisory, plus severe wind. Extended forecast shows overnight temperatures in the forties through end of month. This may be the weekend to get the outdoor boiler fired.
37 this morning, we’re finally into fire weather. Cedar kindling, ash and cherry splits. A happy wife and dog. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
38 when I got up Load of mill waste and a couple big spruce rounds last nite still making heat. A lot of spruce up in front of the boiler for shoulder season. Hopefully most of it will be gone when the real cold sets in and I’ll be back in the pile to the hardwood.
Still 70ºF here outside. The cold front that brought the temps down further west of me is working its way thru today. Not supposed to get terribly cold but they're expecting up to an inch of rain, maybe.
42 here. wife had to have a fire to knock the chill off. 1st lit stove of the year, was hoping could have made it untill at least the 31st. It is what it is.
32 this morning. No fire overnight so hunting clothes didn't get quite dry so no hunt again this morning.
34 here this morning, thought about a fire last night but we had a warm day so the house was quite warm at bed time. Boiler is running a bit this morning.
Ohh la la, the temp dropped from almost 60ºF at midnight to 43ºF right now at 7:50 AM. Looks like it might be snowing at higher elevations in Northern NH.
