No rain here but it’s cooled down, temps expected to drop to 57f/14c overnight which will make for much more comfortable sleeping conditions.

Nuts! Was forecast to be in 70's next week. Today they claim that is cancelled.

Finally dropped into the high 40's overnight! Not burning yet and had all the windows open to enjoy the great temps but cold weather is on the doorstep!

Supposedly got down to 56ºF here at dawn but even with a fan in the window blowing the alleged cold air in it never got cold inside the house.
71ºF now which is kinda nice.
Supposed to be cool again tonight and then back to more usual seasonal temps.

Currently 71F which compared to the past several weeks feels almost chilly! My blood must've thinned out quite a bit working like a dog in all this heat. This is bad, I feel like one of those Floridians you see in winter when you're on vacation. All bundled up like it's 20 degrees outside and it's actually in the 70s! It's supposed to be in the mid 50s tonight which means windows open, no A/C and listening to the crickets.

I've been wearing a light fleece shirt in the mornings, especially that 49 degree morning.

45 this morning. Windows open all night and perfect t-shirt/shorts weather outside at 0500. Already up to 65 and I'm already sweating my a** off.

I have until October before I need to start burning in the basement insert. Try to put it off the wood grind as long as I can. Still have to clean chimney pull out the inserts and clean the boxes and fill the basement racks. I feel for y’all up north. I was born in Minneapolis and my grandparents lived in SD. I’m in NC now and burn for 5 months. The downside of living under the trees on a northern slope.

OMG! That sounds so wonderful! I would not complain if we had to start having fires in stoves again; like about tomorrow...

Got down to 62 before midnight then raised. 64 now with rain and scattered thunder. We need the rain but not the heat. 90 forecast for tomorrow. 3 days of 70's coming up but then back in 80's. Our normal highs now are in 70's.

We're hoping for the best with that hurricane. It is now a big one for sure. Typically when they go in the pattern it is heading we can get rain from it but before the rain, unGodly humid.
