Upper 60's here when we ate on the deck about 7 EST. Nice dry sunny day. Mostly hardwood nuggets in the firepit. IMG_2670.JPG

60 degrees now. Was a mild sunny day. Had oldest son's bday party this evening. Boys had the fire pit going with some pine that saw some better days. Even my mother in law walked up the hill to the fire. :hair:

We’ve had a great spring overall with temperatures mostly in the 60’s and 70’s and I’ve gotten a lot more done than I thought I would but I think it’s about to end later this week. Looks like summer will arrive on schedule with 80’s and 90’s with high dew points. We’ve had a little of that but just a few days so far. I’m thinking it’ll be more frequent going forward. It’s been way too dry also and we’re starting to talk about drought. No rain in the next week either. It keeps going either south or north of us. Gotta keep the mulch deep in the garden.

    "My excellent vacation" continued:
cool enough in the 60's with low humidity to use Mr. Stihl's FS brushcutter with the tree cutting blade ( sharpened ) to start
the PITA clearing the small trees and growth in the drainage ditches on our dirt road. Yes mother, PPE helmet worn, but no chaps or boots ( sorry ).
Tricky footing in and out of the ditch, so I avoid the Monte Python twit fall by going slow, stopping when tired ( or beer ), and
oh so careful about footing. :saw::pain: An hour at a time is plenty for this one; some of the saplings are +/- 2".:BrianK:
Time to put the splitter to bed for the year.

40 this morning. Near 70 predicted for daytime. Got to 65 yesterday. Loving this weather but not the best for farmers.

8FD5E972-66D4-4439-BE2E-28CC797FC13B.jpeg Got up to a blistering 71 degrees today. I spent the day doing wildfire mitigation for an older neighbor. I cut down and bucked 27 dead aspen trees in a severely overgrown area. I stacked most of the wood for my neighbor on her porch for this winter. The stack was so big it took up most of her porch. She asked me to take what wouldn’t fit. She’s a sweetheart. Always sends me home with cookies and beer:coldone:

cant get a break here. We are expecting up to 15 inches of snow tomorrow night starting after 1800. Low elevations around 5000 feet are suppose to get around 8 inches. Guess I will not be pouring concrete again. This is why I charge 500 bucks a yard. Bummer. I'm glad I have plenty of firewood.

You win Camber. Snow in June is the lottery. We don't allow snow in June Downeast.
BTW--You must have been former mil with the "1800" time. Hard to get away from what most of the world has 24H time as in " I have to get up to pee at 0215.":salute:
When the H will this country go metric ? Long overdue ......JMNHO.

When we go metric, I will go broke.  I've been in construction for years. Yes, I was military. All the males in my family, and the rest in the medical field. Grew up
    on military time.

We usually get snow up to the beginning of July. Just not a foot or better.:headbang: All the tourists get in trouble when this happens now.
