Hard to tell with that one!

 

Still windy here. Usually, by this time of the day, the winds have eased up to just about nothing.

We've had everything but nice weather today....Snow, rain overcast, winds....you name it.

 

It was sunny, raining, cloudy, raining, cloudy raining and sunny at the same time and windy,. 40mph plus winds right now.

 

Burning one run a day on the boiler now. Light it up mid afternoon for showers and dishes in the evening...sometimes the house needs a little heat overnight.

Shut if off first thing in the morning and let the fire go out, harvest some nice lump charcoal for cooking right before lighting it up again. It makes really good charcoal....going to get a couple metal trash cans to store it in this week.

 

40 and windy. Took the day off work to try and get some things done around the house and on the car. Starting ash in the stove

20 for the overnight low and it still has to warm up enough to get out of the 20's yet!

Plus, (or minus) a cold wind form the north northwest leads to someone telling me....."This will be my only walk today!"

 

This weather has been totally crazy today. Started with rain and wind. Been 20 mph gusts but that has been steady all day long. Then cleared up and sunshine
Then snow joined the sunshine. Then a blizzard. Start it all over again minus the rain. It has been wait 10 minutes and it will change.

 

Sounds like you are getting our weather from yesterday. We had sun then rain, then sun, then thunderstorms, then sun........all served up with a big helping of high winds. The local airport reported winds over 40MPH and 90 miles north had winds over 60. There were a few trees that came down north of us but it wasn't too bad because of no leafs on the trees yet.

 

Currently 40 and spitting snow.. snow showers tonight high tomorrow is 38 and windy burning maple house is warm!!

 

Winter and spring are still colliding here.

Also:

Ice off and wind combination on the south shore Lake Mille Lacs MN yesterday during the same weather system. When this happens entire buildings can be destroyed or even moved off their foundations. I don't know the final outcome of this particular incident, but hoping for best for this family. At least there is time to get out the way, unlike some weather.

 

Saw vids of the lake mille lacs a few years back. No thanks to buying on that lake!

 

It must be hard to get insurance on the SE shore there!

 

31 currently in Northeast Pennsylvania....Good thing I tossed in 3 ATV carts full into the wood bin about 2 weeks ago....Ash, maple and birch left in the bin. I can't believe it is still this cold. Not really complaining though, I like that I am getting a few more weeks of burning in. And of course I am behind with the garden prep, so this weather is buying me some more time.

 

30's here also still burning in shop at night on the good side the grass is not growing fast with the frosts we have had only had to mow once and its almost may

 

24 this morning so far.

 

27* outside, 72* inside. White Oak, Sugar Maple, Ash, and Cherry doin' it overnight and this morning.

 

Mid 20s. Got a heavy dusting of snow. Warming up to 36.
