    Can't like that.
Just the bed or was the frame bent ?
    Fix or loss ?

Mostly the bed, I actually drove it a couple times and it seemed to drive OK. Actually just off the right edge of the picture, the tree trunk hit a little hill that kept it from totally smashing it to the ground. The frame wasn't bent, but both sides of the cab were dented but the back window didn't break. The cab dents put it over the top for the insurance company and they totaled it. They actually gave us more than I had been asking for it. It was a 97 F150 farmer's special, AC and the rear bumper were the only options on it. There were some electrical issues in the cab due to a water leak in the windshield that had dripped right down into the emergency flasher opening on top of the steering column and probably hosed the main switch assembly in there. It had been sitting a while anyway and hadn't been getting used much so we weren't all that devastated. Kinda wished the old van had been sitting beside it... LOL I had kinda grown to hate that truck anyway... Lots of problems after the warranty ran out...

But you know how it goes. As soon as you don't have a truck, you need one almost every day! I replaced it with a $1,100 '97 Ram with the extra rust option... LOL The Ram turned out to be a pretty good truck and I drove it for 7 years. I did have to wrench on it some, but those are easy to work on.

My wife had a beer in back of the stove. ???? I figured I left it there while I was attending the fire. I picked it up before she found it and gave me the devil. No luck. I got "What you doing with my beer?" She had it there to bring it up to room temperature for her beer bread. Just can't win. ;)

Have a week of below 60 degrees f. plus a frost warning. I fired up the boiler this afternoon. A lot of my storm related cutting will be burned now, I guess.

Dropped down to 5 overnight! And 3" of fluffy snow. If I had one a guy would be able to use one of those cordless blowers on it.....

C'mon, it mid April for Pete's sake!

Another day of not making it out of the 20's.

Another day here of not making it out of the 30's.

Yesterday we had one snow shower that really dropped some snow fast. Made everything white quickly. However with the ground not being froze any more, it did not last very long. But dang, I'd really like to put the Carhartts away now.

35 here. Light snow in the air. Sun has been peaking in and out. Woke to a dusting but that has melted. Another day of temps in the 30s then will start warming up into the 40s.

It was snowing pretty good for about an hour. Right about 32*, ended up with an inch or so. So the stove is lit with Red Maple.

    Surprise!

It dropped down to 0 overnight!

I'm certain that some areas had below zero and am wondering just why I didn't get there myself!

    Lots of sunshine right now.

Inch of snow on the ground here this morning, won't last long I'm sure, but gave it that beautiful "post card" look out the windows.
33* outside and 73* inside with the overnight coals burning down so I can put in a load of Ash.

18 this morning. Went for a walk right away at first light and enjoyed it. Little bit more traffic that I had thought though. No new snow.

Mr. Yoop, it will not be Spring until spring arrives with ticks, mozzies, black flies.
You get black flies in the U.P. ? Look up the Maine "Save the Black Fly" association.
Just for you--snow for tomorrow here. New snow $%#@& .:startled:
