I just saw this, are you far from this area. http://www.timesunion.com/news/us/a...ennsylvania-highway-6023705.php#photo-7402910
Thats a ways south from here, but I saw that on the news. In our area, over 100 accidents, along with ems all being utilized, people in need had a delay in emergency services. Despite temps in the upper 30's, the ground is frozen, so theres still ice and some flooding.
Hanging at about 30º here, decided last night to let the stove go cold after the 5 p.m. fire. Drug the ladder and brush out after church and a trip to the market, that was a wasted trip to the roof. Had a little on the screeen but not even much there. I think that was the cleanest the liner has been yet. Decided after the wife fixed us a late breakfast we would take a nap so just fired up with some cherry and american elm. Looks like a week of 20's and 30's.
I forgot the wife had taken a picture with her phone Gas. We pick it up tomorrow night, this is our 3rd round with Mazda.
Its been a little on the warmer side here! Didnt expect to be in the 40's in January in Pittsburgh! Was out of town for the day yesterday so I let the woodburner burn out Friday night. I threw a creosote cleaning log in before I left for work on Friday night. Cleaned everything out and checked the chimney today. Started the new fire with some maple and cherry now have some red oak and locust!
Woke up to 18 and a fresh skiff of snow. Running one stove today with the usual mixed diet. Supposed to drop down to -4 tonight so the second stove will get fired up after work. Everyone have a good day and stay safe.
Right at 30º and snowing. Ash mixed with some Ash burning away in the nicely cleaned boiler. Getting cold tonight.
9f and headed down to -4 tonight with a windchill. Fired up the second stove after work. Running them on chunkinuglies till bedtime and will then load with some Red Oak and hard maple. 73 in the house, feels soooo good.
I think we're at about 14,just burning down some coals from some Sugar Maple and some big fat rounds of Ironwood. The living room is 72, the sleeper is 69 and the basement is 78.
