Dear Marsh: You do need help. We are here for you. In the Twelve Step Program for Gender Conflict, we will assist you to reach a nirvana of understanding. Step one will start you on a path of enlightenment of the state of woman ( not "WOMEN" ). You must know what you don't know: that cold is a state of gender mind, not temperature. Steps to follow with the sending of one benjamin bill to my office for completion of this program. As a free guide, you may now chant a chorus of Cumbaya 3X whilst skipping around the aforementioned Woodstock AS. Yours, Dumf Maine
Lol. Literally just now my wife was cold before, after reading this she said it's too warm in the room . She likes it at 67° in the back hall, if it gets to 69° in the back hall, she acts like she's melting. It's not like I kissed the stove full of locust though, just 3 splits of ash. Eh. The ceiling fan is on high now. She'll get over it, then be cold later.
36 this morning. It was supposed to have started raining around midnight, but nothing as of yet. The rain, when it does come, is going to turn into heart attack snow. The snow on the roof is melting all night because I can hear the dripping outside.
39 this morning so the stove is heating up down ash. Headed for the 50’s though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The 8” of snow from yesterday is down to 2-3” already. It’s 40 outside and 73 inside. I just reloaded the stove because someone was cold. I feel your pain Marshel54
Marshel54 it might be best if you think back to the years when you'd do anything to please a hot young lady. Then ask yourself if it maybe should still be the same way today? If they are cold, warm it up a bit but keep the temper in check while doing it. Maybe even after you stoke the stove a little kiss on the cheek could do wonders?! I've found that it works miracles sometimes.
Last night might be our last night of freezing for a while, or at least I hope it was. The sun is even shinning today.
I'm not re choochin' the stove. Not until evening at least. It's already 46° and heading into the low 50's. I'll probably empty out ashes right before reloading the stove.
Kinda defeats the purpose of a wood stove, right there! Just re-fire the stove as the season for most of you is just about done!
True but then a blanket can warm you up real quick and then off it goes to enjoy the warmth of the fire.
