Rained all night and didn't cool off much. Sunny all morning and is 69ºF inside just from solar gain. Sun's mostly gone now from thickening cloud cover so might need a quick pine fire later as it is a fair 50ºF outside. Unless these clouds pass on by it won't heat up a lot more today, especially with northerly winds.

I think we'll make it Dave. Yes, the long cold days of the UP are gone. Yet, even in the up, we kept our house warm!!!! Some say hot but we like it so that we don't have to dress indoors like we do outdoors. And I like the ladies without too much clothing. It just dressed up the house so much...

    30 last night.

I think I'll make a trip down south and get some shagbark hickory, black walnut and other "banana belt" species of trees for transplanting here since the winters been so mild! :p

28 and sunny, headed for 52. Off to work, but the wife was loading the stove with ash because if it’s less than 70 in the house it’s too cold. Lol

Maybe a good thing. I was reading a bit ago of some strange things that happened this winter (no-winter for many). One that was interesting was Helsinki where they got less than an inch of snow! Many, many others.

Snowing that wet slop today. The plows are out keeping the slush off and the traffic on the highways!

Wind from the north is still very strong out there. Kind of unsettling. It is still snowing also, just not all that much here. That's good as the conditions are ripe for a good heavy snowfall.

30 and 76, just put a little beech in. Yesterday didn’t need to until 2 pm. 30’s next couple days then back to spring. If this keeps up we might not burn over 3 cord this season. April can hold a few surprises though.

    31ºF and cloudy this morning
A pine load so far. Maybe some maple in a bit. Forecast is for generally cloudy so probably not much solar gain and will need a good burn this AM.
Price of crude really tanked yesterday and thru the night.

Snow this morning. Ground turned white then melted. Then snowed again and ground turned white again. Now we're back to just patches of snow again but a chilly day in the low 30's.
