I believe that. I'll have to wait to see what the local weather changes said for the low temps around me were.
First night this year below zero. But really nice outside this morning. Had several deer moving around by the house this morning. They did not seem to mind the cold.
Just one night (tonight) of +8ºF is forecast. Cold stove. Replacing a radiator and of course the stove is in the way.
Dropped to -26f and then turned around. I forgot to check the wind chill back then, but it had to be miserabler!
-7F yesterday morning with a strong wind. -27F this morning but at least the wind died down, truck still was not happy to start at 4am this morning tho haha. Burning oak in the out door stove, house is at 69F
The electronic temp reader said it was -19 at 7:30 this morning while the old mercury style thermometer said -26. Cold either way.
-13f here this AM. Coldest I've seen here this year. Nothing like last years mid 30's below! Still darn cold for this guy. Its warming up nicely starting tomorrow. Ok with me! Stay warm all. This weather makes me appreciate my wood piles.
I can agree to that, 10F right now here but the wind is just a blowing. Just spent 3 hours outside getting the tractor started so I could put out hay. And my face has a nice wind burn going on, should have put my face mask on.
10 outside, 73 inside with ash, red oak and locust cruising along. Cat probe hanging right at 1500' I love burning in these temps, but after tonight we climb again.
Been a very mild fall and winter with temps averaging 6-8 degrees above normal with the exception of November. Finally some cold air. 2.3* right now. Been going through all red oak since last night. Loaded the Jotul F400 at 10pm and the house was 64, woke up at 5:30 and it was down to coals and the house was 61*. Pretty impressed the heat just kicked on for the first time in weeks.
-28°F this morning, last night's load got us thru waking up to a 59°F house. Reload, heading into work for a few hours.
6 outside 68 inside. Upstairs went out completely overnight, got that started with ash. Had a nice bed of coals downstairs, locust in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sitting at 10 and 70. Just loaded some cherry, hickory and more locust. Going to get the saws ready for Monday, have some trees to drop, weather permitting.
