It was nice shoveling! (I didn't just say that did I? :headbang:)

The area was still waking up, neighbors grandson was plowing her; could hear a snowblower 1/4 mile or so away; backup alarm on the snow plow......hey! That means that maybe we'll get our road plowed today!

A little clean up with the snowblower later on today, but everything is done! Quietly.....as someone is still in bed! :picard:

Judy said to quit hogging all that snow. We got just enough to cover the ground and believe it or not, the sun is trying to shine but only for a few minutes at a time.

Earlier they were predicting a winter storm for us but now not even a hint of it in the forecast. We lucked out again.

Our high for the day was 50 at midnight, it’s 40 now and 78 inside. I just finally added a little wood after burning down last nights coals. Thankfully most of the high water has receded and we should be ok by the time it freezes up tonight. We get these late season storms that come in off the Atlantic occasionally and you never know what you’re gonna get. I’m glad it wasn’t 4’ of snow instead.

Same here. We were to get a storm, now it will just be cold early in in the week. The guessers thought 18° would be the low here, but I saw 12° when I got up. It's still not 18° yet as it's only 15°.

Apple, Honey locust, and ash in the stove. Choochin' along now.

About 30 now. Was chatting with my neighbor as he was cutting some rounds. Mentioned that we didn’t get the snow that was forecast. By the time we were out of the woods, it started coming down.

steady snow now. Got some cherry going in the fireplace and watching the accumulation out the window. The old black lab is settled in too. Wife is g e so I can watch tv from the kitchen and not compete with the noise of her dreadful Hallmark tv shows.

Ha ha! Glad my wife isn’t the only one who is addicted to those TERRIBLE Hallmark Christmas movies.

Been snowing here all day. 19 degrees outside. 75 and toasty warm inside. Burning a ponderosa pine and aspen mix.

35 at the moment suppose to drop and start snowing around 4 am. Calling for a few inches. Doesnt matter though, people will be driving like idiots and our wonderful highway dept. will use 60% of their resources for this little bit of storm and later say how resources are low for rest of year. And they don't know if they'll make it.
75 in house with cherry doing the job.

25° outside, and I started the stove with apple branches and oak chunks. I'll have to do some serious basement stocking today, with snow expected all day tomorrow. More apple, and some mulberry and elm are the next layer in the stack I'm pulling from.
