Thanks. I have not worn the ice cleats (shoe chains or what ever they are called) yet. My back got better throughout the day but I skipped the walk during the afternoon also.

Good on your buddy to be able to do that amount of walking!

I may have asked you this once already, but...…..

I am thinking that the temps you are posting are always in F rather than C, correct?

Do you have that many sparks leaving the stack that you don't light it pending ground conditions?

Not too bad this morning @19 OAT. Still 66 IAT, so I have another Poplar fire going. Loaded the stove last night with it and before bed, the thermostat was showing 80. Didn't feel that warm, but may have had something to do with that unintended nap I took. Coals left in the stove this morning to get a new fire going was a bit weird with Poplar, but hey...I'll take it.
Supposed to hit 37 today and might get some sunshine.

I guess I could let it ride all winter. Then in spring get 10 yards of black dirt to cover and start over on the grass?

Got the morning walk done since my back is feeling good enough for that.

Snowing with a south wind but still mild temps. I'll have to put the shovel down once again!

Yessir you are correct, Alaska uses Fahrenheit. That is the wunderground app, the folks that have that station is about a mile from my house. All other weather stations use NOAA the site, it’s about 50 miles away.

Is that mild for you for this time of year? We are 3c/37f under drizzle. What a mild stretch! I noticed coals in the stove this morning but I decided to let it go out for a bit. Ill have nice draft for hours to come so it will be easy to get er going again later today.
