Yes on the electric, but no on the heat tape. Just wouldn't work with this application.

That reminds me. I still have to do some insulating in the well pit. No hurry though as it is not cold yet. Probably could get by until mid December.

Came home to this after a few days away. Never had to change the weather station to Fahrenheit before :p ABBC8441-A29F-402B-AC7A-2CDFC3AE83B7.jpeg

Got the stove fired up and we’re at 23c/74f now

43 here, white pine and two silver maple splits carrying the weight. Overnight fire last night and a sunny day today kept the house 70+ all day until the sun left. Been burning at least once daily for a couple weeks - got a new little hoarder here to keep warm. :)

Just a touch above the freezing mark.

Tomorrow at this time, it'll be low to mid 20's.

Haven't looked outside yet to see if we had any snow.

Finally the wind has died down. The last couple days the temperature had been well into the 50's but that wind was cold. Maybe I can get back into the woods again now, although I did haul some wood yesterday. Difference was the wood was out in the open.

Naw. Just didn't feel the need to turn on the light as it was still dark when I posted that.

There were just some "traces" of snow.

45 out 74 in when I got up at 5:30. Warming up and rain moving in this afternoon. Had a fire overnight with some small uglies of hickory. Trick or treat for the kiddies in the neighborhood. I usually set up a chair in the garage so the dog does not go crazy for 2 hours......1 for you, 1 for me, 1 for you, 2 for me.

Drained all the lines (water) at the cottage late thu night and then turned the water back on sat morning. No damage and didn't have to crawl under the cabin!

Probably shut the place down for good tomorrow. :picard: :(
